Waterfront property owners and others are concerned that the new Freshwater Wetlands Act will negatively impact our Towns two lakes. This could designate significant portions of our navigable lakes as wetlands. The result is likely to make permitting for simple waterfront repairs/changes very challenging.
Our State representatives: Senator Joe Griffo and Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan; are co-sponsoring amendments to exempt navigable lakes. If you support this amendment, please consider writing our State representatives to let them know?
