Trail Access Road Project

Contract #1 - General Construction

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that quotes for a single contract are sought and requested by the

Town of Nelson, Madison County, New York according to the information provided by the Town of

Nelson.

This project consists of the following work within the single contract:

Contract #1 – General Construction – Constructing a new, eight-foot-wide, 530 linear foot stone

access road and 10-foot by 10-foot turn around loop at the Town Hall including: the removal of

grass, roots and minimal topsoil, compacting the subgrade, installing driveway geo-synthetic

underlayment fabric, and installing a minimum of six inches of 50/50 blend driveway mix,

compacting the stone driveway mix, tapering the new drive to existing grass surface, and removing

the spoils. Contract #1 will also include installing 200 linear feet of 4-inch drain tile with stone at

2-foot depth. The Town of Nelson will supply the stone, geo-synthetic underlayment fabric drain

tile, and it will be stockpiled at the Town Hall. The General Contractor will supply all other

materials, equipment and labor to complete the work.
